Korean investment in Bangladesh will increase further: Ambassador

Noting that the bilateral relations between South Korea and Bangladesh are very strong, South Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Zhang Kiyun said, “South Korea is the fifth largest investor in Bangladesh. The amount of this investment will increase in the coming days.
On Thursday (September 9th) he made the remarks during a courtesy call on Rizwan Rahman, president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), at the DCCI on Thursday.
Li Zhang Qian said 93 percent of Bangladeshi products exported to South Korea enjoy duty-free access. However, he urged Bangladesh to take initiative to sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with South Korea to hold the market for Bangladeshi products, especially in South Korea, after the passage of the LDC.
