Syed Abul Maqsood is no more

Famous columnist, researcher, essayist and journalist Syed Abul Maqsood (74) passed away (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Raziun).
He breathed his last at the Square Hospital in the capital on Tuesday (February 23) evening. Abul Maqsood is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
Maria Sarkar, information desk officer of Square Hospital, said that Abul Maqsood was taken to the emergency department of Square Hospital from his house in Dhanmondi at 7.09 pm in a critical condition. But doctors on duty said he died on the way. The cause of his death was not immediately known.
