BJP decides to close 600 madrasas in Assam

The BJP government in Assam has decided to close all government madrassas and Sanskrit tolls. The bill will be tabled in the winter session of the Legislative Assembly.
Assam Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patwari said the proposal was passed in the state cabinet on Sunday. News from The Indian Express.
He said a bill in this regard would be tabled in the winter session of the state assembly. Existing laws related to madrasas and Sanskrit tolls will be repealed.
