Domestic flights to resume from June 1

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has taken a decision to resume the domestic flights from June 1.
CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman confirmed the information on Thursday.
He said, the domestic flights will primarily resume at Dhaka airport, Chattogram airport and Sylhet airport. The planning is ongoing to start the domestic flights at Syedpur airport.
Earlier on May 14, CAAB extended the suspension of all international and domestic flights until May 30, aiming to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Bangladesh on Thursday reported detection of 2029 new coronavirus cases and 15 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The country’s confirmed cases now stands at 40,321 and of them, 559 have died.
