Sonali, Rupali and Janata donate Tk3.75cr to PM’s relief fund

The country’s three state-owned banks- Sonali, Rupali, and Janata – jointly donated Tk3.75 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to help the government’s initiative fight the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui, chairman of Sonali Bank Limited, Md Obayed Ullah Al Masud, managing director and chief executive officer of Rupali Bank Limited, and Md Abdus Salam Azad, managing director, and chief executive officer of Janata Bank Limited, jointly handed over the donation cheque to the Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Kaikaus on Sunday, said a press release.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the program through a video conference and appreciated the banks’ humanitarian efforts.
