Green chillies import Started from India
Imports from India have started through the mediation of the Ministry of Commerce to keep the supply and price of chillies normal in the country. Necessary Import Permits (IPs) have already been issued in favor of importers. These raw chillies are being imported through Bhomra and Sona Masjid land ports of the country.
On Monday (August 9), two trucks of raw chillies entered Bangladesh through Bhomra land port. Another 12 trucks are in the process of entering Bangladesh. Importer JK Enterprise is importing these chillies from India through Bhomra land port.
Besides, three importers are importing 650 metric tonnes of chillies through Sonamasjid land port. Among them, Messrs. BH Trading & Co. are importing 150 metric tonnes, Messrs. Golden Enterprise 200 metric tonnes and Messrs. Sajjad Enterprise 300 metric tonnes of Indian raw chillies, which will enter Bangladesh tomorrow (August 10).
The government will issue the necessary import permits (IPs) to keep the supply and price of chillies normal.
