ADB will provide 250 million dollars to Bangladesh for social security
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide 250 million in loan assistance to Bangladesh for social security programs.
An agreement in this regard was signed between ADB and the Government of Bangladesh on Tuesday (June 22).
Economic Relations (ERD) Secretary Fatima Yasmin and ADB Country Director Manmohan Prakash signed the agreement virtually on their behalf.
Praising the government for focusing on social inclusion, Manmohan Prakash said, “ADB is happy to be able to assist Bangladesh through such innovative initiatives.
Which will further expand and deepen existing security programs as well as ensure mutual coordination. At the same time, this initiative will help in overcoming the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic as well as increase the capacity of the poor people of the country.
