Karnafuli Masterbatch coming on smallcap platform of stock market
Karnafuli Masterbatch and Plastic Industries (KMPI) wants to be listed on the stock market as a smallcap platform (SME board). Following this, the company has signed an agreement with BMSL Investment, one of the top merchant banks in the country. BMSL will act as the issue manager of the investment company.
A formal agreement was recently signed at the head office of BMSL Investment.
Managing Director of BMSL Investment and General Secretary of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA) Md. Riyad Matin, Managing Director of Karnafuli Masterbatch and Plastic Industries Arman Pasha, Director Masum Shahriar and Advisor to the company Nurul Haque.
Riyad Matin, Managing Director, BMSL Investments, said, “We are working with the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to assist in mobilizing the smallcap platform in the stock market.” I am trying to bring in SME entrepreneurs to make this initiative of BSEC a success.
In continuation of this, we are trying to bring Karnafuli Masterbatch and Plastic Industries on smallcap platform. An agreement has been signed with the company for this. However, the process of bringing the company to the stock market is at a very early stage.
Meanwhile, Arman Pasha, managing director of Karnafuli Masterbatch and Plastic Industries, said, “We are interested in being listed on the stock market’s smallcap platform. That is why we have given the responsibility of issue management activities to BMSL Investment. We will try to be listed on the stock market with transparency and accountability. ‘
