ADP approval Tk 2 lakh 37 crore for new financial year
The National Economic Council (NEC) meeting has approved the Annual Development Program (ADP) for 1,515 projects in the new financial year (2021-22) at a cost of Tk 2,36,793.9 crore. Its final approval will be given in the National Assembly.
NEC Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the NEC meeting on Tuesday (May 18). Cabinet members were present. The Prime Minister joined the meeting via video conference from Ganobhaban. After the meeting, Planning Minister MA Mannan presented the information to the journalists.
In this regard, he said, in the fiscal year 2021-22, 1,426 projects under ADP and 89 development projects will be carried out with the own funding of autonomous organizations and corporations.
The Planning Minister further said that the NEC has approved the ADP for the new financial year with an expenditure of Tk 2,25,324 crore. Of this, 1 lakh 37 thousand 299 crore 91 lakh taka will be provided from domestic sources and 88 thousand 24 crore 23 lakh taka will be provided from foreign sources.
