Overall progress of Metrorail construction is 61.49 percent

Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that the overall progress of the construction of the first metro rail in Bangladesh is 61.49 percent. He said the progress of construction work in Agargaon section from the third phase of Uttara scheduled for construction in the first phase is 83.52 percent.

During a regular briefing at the government residence on Thursday morning, Quader informed about the latest progress of Metro Rail construction work.

In this regard, he said, the combined progress of electrical and mechanical systems and rolling stock depot equipment procurement work is 52.22 percent.

The Minister of Road Transport and Bridges said that the total number of coaches in the first flight Metrorail has 144 sets of 24 sets of six-coach metro trains.
