Prices of Jet fuel increasing
Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) again increased the price of jet fuel. As a result of this increase, the price of jet fuel for domestic routes is currently Tk 60 per liter, which was Tk 46 last October. In the case of international routes, the price is Tk 46.17 per liter, which was Tk 33.58 in October. With this, the price of the fuel product has increased in four stages in the last four months. Padma Oil Company Limited, a member of BPC, sent a letter to all the airlines on March 9 informing them about the increase in the price of jet fuel. The letter said that as per the decision of the authorities, the selling price of Jet A-1 fuel oil has been increased, which came into effect from March 10.
The letter further said that after the price hike, jet fuel at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong and Osmani International Airport in Sylhet will now cost Tk 60 per liter. The price for international routes will be 0.55 dollar per liter Tk 46.17
