52 companies received ICMAB Best Corporate Award
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Best Corporate Award 2019 has been awarded to 52 institutions in 15 categories including state-owned banks and private commercial banks.
The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony at a hotel in the capital on Thursday (February 25th) evening.
The first, second and third place winners in each category were awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies respectively.

Rupali Bank Limited won the first prize in the state-owned bank category. Sonali Bank and Agrani Bank Limited jointly won the second prize. No one got third prize in this category.
In the category of private commercial banks, BRAC Bank Limited came first, Eastern Bank Limited came second and Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited came third. In the category of Private Commercial Bank (Islamic Operations), Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited came first, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited came second, Social Islami Bank Limited and First Security Islami Bank Limited came third jointly.
In the non-bank financial institution category, IDLC Finance Limited came first, IPDC Finance Limited came second and Infrastructure Development Company Limited came third. Green Delta Insurance Company Limited was first in the general insurance category, while Nitol Insurance Co. was joint second. Ltd. and Reliance Insurance Ltd., the third was Prabhati Insurance Company Ltd.
In the life insurance category, Pragati Life Insurance Company Limited and Popular Life Insurance Company Limited, Meghna Life Insurance Company Limited and Sandhani Life Insurance Company Limited came first, second and third respectively. In the pharmaceuticals category, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited came first, Renata Limited and Reliance Insurance Limited came second, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited and Orion Pharma Limited came third.
The first Premier Cement Mills Ltd. in the cement manufacturing category, the second M. I Cement Factory Limited, Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Limited came third. In the textile manufacturing category, Paramount Textile Limited came first, Square Textile Limited came second and Envoy Textiles Limited came third.
In the manufacturing category, the first British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company Limited, the second jointly Linde Bangladesh Limited and Marico Bangladesh Limited. The third was Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited. In other manufacturing categories, the first is Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited, the second (Silver) RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited, and the third is BBS Cables Limited.।
In the Power and Energy category, Summit Power Limited came first, Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited second, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited and Baka Power Limited joint third. BRAC and Social Development Foundation came first and second in the NGO category respectively. Ghasful and Dhaka Ahsania Mission came third jointly.
In the agro and food processing category, Golden Harvest Agro Industries Limited came first, Olympic Industries Limited came second and National Tea Company Limited came third. In the Trading and Assembly category, the first was jointly won by Padma Oil Company Limited and Meghna Petroleum Limited, the second (Silver) Information Technology Consultants Limited, and the third by Navana CNG Limited.
