Florists hopes to make up losses of corona

Every year, different types of flowers are traded in Gadkhali of Jessore on different days. Due to the epidemic coronavirus, the flower business has been in decline since February 2020. However, flower growers and traders have been dreaming of a new dream since the beginning of this year. He hopes to make up for last year’s loss with the upcoming Spring, World Love Day and International Mother Language Day.

In the last eighties, commercial flower production was started in Gadkhali of Jessore district. The largest wholesale market for flowers in the country is here. Wholesalers from different regions including Dhaka come to Gadkhali to buy flowers. Hundreds of crores of rupees are transacted in flower production and trade every year.
