Thousands of billionaires are out of tax: IGP

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Benazir Ahmed has said that there are hundreds of millionaires who pay taxes in the country but there are thousands of other billionaires. He made the remarks while urging the rich to come forward in support of the needy at the closing ceremony of RAB Service Week on Monday.

From January 1, RAB started ‘RAB Service Week’ to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Educational assistance was provided to the helpless meritorious students at the closing ceremony held at the headquarters of the law enforcement agency.

The IGP announced his cooperation in wearing the heart ring of the father of a meritorious student. At the same time, he called on the rich of the society to come forward with the help of the helpless and said, “We have innumerable millionaires.” There are hundreds of millionaires in the income tax file. And there are thousands of millionaires out of this file. You all come forward with the help of the helpless.
