France cuts wheat exports outside EU

The statement said that in November 2020, France set a record in wheat exports to non-EU countries. At that time, the country exported a total of 8 lakh 77 thousand tons of wheat (soft wheat) to the EU market. This is the record for most wheat exports outside the EU in the 2020-21 season.

However, in December of the outgoing year, the volume of wheat exports from France to the EU market fell to 7 lakh 97 thousand tons. As a result, the export of agricultural products from France to the EU has decreased by 80,000 tons in one month. However, despite the decline, this is the second highest monthly record of French wheat exports outside the EU in the 2020-21 season.
