BO account needs to be digital: Salman F Rahman
Beneficiary Account (BO) should be digital to spread the capital market globally, said Salman F Rahman, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Private Industry and Investment.
He said that if it is digital, it will be an advantage for foreign investors as many investors will be able to invest by opening an account at home. Now many bank accounts are going to be digitized at home.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a virtual seminar on “Towards Sustainable Development of Capital Markets” on Saturday (October 31st).
The seminar was organized by Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA) and Capital Market Journalism Forum (CMJF).
Professor Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam, Chairman, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), Sheikh Fazle Fahim, President, FBCCI, Shams Mahmud, President, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) were also present as special guests at the seminar.
