A total of Tk 39 crore 33 lakh 51 thousand shares of 81 companies were traded in the block market of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday, the second working day of the week.

It is known that Grameenphone Tk 4 crore 60 lakh 40 thousand, followed by Eastern Bank Tk 3 crore 82 lakh 20 thousand and popular life first mutual fund Tk 3 crore 22 lakh 25 thousand taka were traded in the block market.
Besides, among the other companies that participated in important transactions in the block market – Fortune 2 crore 59 lakh 46 thousand, Simtex Industries 2 crore 33 lakh 70 thousand, AB Bank 1 crore 78 lakh, Sonali Paper 1 crore 38 lakh 35 thousand, British American Tobacco 1 crore 36 lakh 70 thousand, shares of Silva Pharma 1 crore 21 lakh 43 thousand and Fareast Islami Life Insurance 1 crore 19 lakh 61 thousand were traded.
