Dhaka Bank will invest in digital bank

Dhaka Bank Limited of the listed bank sector has decided to invest in Digital Bank.

It is known that the application for the license of this bank will be made through a consortium consisting of several companies. The Board of Directors of Dhaka Bank has taken a policy decision to join the consortium and remain as a sponsor shareholder in the proposed bank.

The name of the proposed bank will be “Sanchay Digital Bank Plc.” Its paid up capital will be Tk 125 crore. In this, Dhaka Bank Limited will provide 10 percent of the paid-up capital or Tk 12.5 million.

The said decision will be effective subject to the approval of the regulatory body.
