Power Grid EGM is on September 2
Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited of the power and energy sector listed in the capital market has decided to increase the authorized share capital. For this the company has called a special general meeting (EGM).

It is known that the EGM of the company will be held on the digital platform on September 2 at 10 am. The record date for the EGM has been fixed on July 13.
Power Grid will increase its authorized share capital from the existing Tk 10 crore. Out of this 1 thousand crores is dividend. 1,300 crore preference shares of Tk 15,000 crore worth Rs 10 each will be issued. To increase the share capital, preference shares of Tk 13 thousand crore and ordinary shares of Tk 2 thousand crore will be issued.
The company can increase the share capital through the EGM with the consent of the investors and by amending the memorandum. Power Grid has decided to issue ordinary and preference shares. The company will issue 20 crore 10 lakh 80 thousand ordinary shares with a face value of 10 taka and a premium of Tk 10. The company will issue a total of 402 crore 16 lakh ordinary shares.
The company will issue 764 crore 11 lakh 6 thousand shares of Tk 7 thousand 641 crore 10 lakh 60 thousand at the face value of Tk 10.
