Sumit Podder joined as MD, CEO of Bangladesh Finance Capital

Sumit Podder has joined the Bangladesh Finance Capital, a subsidiary of the Bangladesh Finance, as its managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO).

He joined today after receiving clearance from the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, the Bangladesh Finance Capital said in a press release.

In his 13-year career, Podder led the structured finance department at the Bangladesh Finance, a financial institution, before joining Bangladesh Finance Capital.

Before that, he was also the head of the corporate advisory of City Bank Capital Ltd.

He also worked with River Stone Capital Ltd, Alliance Financial Services Ltd, and Alliance Securities and Management Ltd.

Podder said he is proud to join Bangladesh Finance Capital as a chief and would contribute to the organisation’s future success.
