Prominent educationist Professor Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCA, FCMA commented that if the the Draft Income Tax Act-2022 is introduced, there will be real improvement in tax administration.
Dr. Salim said this as the chief guest on a discussion meeting organized by ICMAB, Branch Council (CBC), Chattogram on February 25.
Professor of Chittagong University, Vice President of ICMAB and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation, Dr. Salim Uddin also expressed hope that, if the draft law is implemented with more scrutiny, the tax GDP ratio, tax base, tax compliance, revenue impact and tax net will increase. Arshad Ullah FCMA and Wahid Ullah FCMA were present as session chairman and event director respectively in the event held under the chairmanship of CBC Chairman Asadur Rahman, FCMA. AGM of GPH Ispat Ltd. Aminul Islam presented the key note paper of the discussion.
