Janata Capital’s panel broker became UCB Stock Brokerage

The panel broker of Government Merchant Bank Janata Capital and Investment Limited became UCB Stock Brokerage Limited, a subsidiary of UCB Bank Plc, the country’s top brokerage firm. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Monday, February 27, 2023 at JCIL’s head office in Motijheel for the provision of panel broker services by the two companies.

Under the agreement, all customers of Janata Capital and Investment Limited will be able to receive all types of brokerage services through UCB Stock Brokerage Limited.

Shahidul Haque, Chief Executive of Janata Capital and Investment Limited, Mohammad Rahmat Pasha, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FCMA and UCB Stock Brokerage Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UCB Investment Tanzim Algir, Chief Operating Officer of UCB Stock Brokerage Syed Adnan Huda, DGM and Company Secretary of Janata Capital and Investment Limited Md. Anwarul Islam and DGM Ashraful Islam were also present on the occasion.

Notably, the agreement will establish a strong relationship between the two parties. The stakeholders expressed hope that the agreement between Janata Capital and Investment Limited (JCIL) and UCB Stock Brokerage Limited will play an important role in maintaining continuity in the capital market.
