Comilla clinch fourth successive win in BPL

Comilla Victorians claimed their fourth successive win of the Bangladesh Premier League as they beat Sylhet Strikers by seven-wicket in the final match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today (February 16).

In the medium-scoring match, Sylhet were restricted to 175 in 20 overs after being sent to bat first, as bowler Mustafizur finished with 31-2.

Andre Russell, Tanvir Islam, Sunil Narine, Moeen Ali bagged one wicket each. Mushfiqur Rahim took 74 runs facing 48 balls for Sylhet.

Chasing 175, Comilla Victorians showed their strength gradually. The steady innings from Litton Das, Johnson Charles and Moeen Ali took them to the shore.

Johnson Charles scored 79 from 52 balls with seven boundaries and five over boundaries, while Moeen Ali took 25 runs from 17 balls. They remained unbeaten.

Rubel Hossain managed to pick two wickets while Tanzim Hasan Sakib one wicket for Sylhet.
