33 organaizations received honour of top texpayer

The Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) of the National Board of Revenue has awarded 33 companies in six sectors as top taxpayers. On Tuesday (September 14th) a memento of honour was handed over to the top officials of the organization at a hotel in the capital.

Received honours in the banking sector- Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh Branch, HSBC Bangladesh, Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited, United Commercial Bank Limited, National Bank Limited, Eastern Bank Limited, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited Limited, Trust Bank Limited, BRAC Bank Limited, Prime Bank Limited and The Premier Bank Limited.

Services and other sectors – Grameenphone Limited, MJL Bangladesh Limited and Chevron Bangladesh Block Thirteen and Fortin Limited.

In the non-banking sector – IDLC Finance Limited and Infrastructure Development Company Limited.

In the insurance sector – American Life Insurance and Life Insurance Corporation.

Source Cutters: Bangladesh Bank, Grameenphone Limited and Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited.

In the manufacturing sector- British American Tobacco Bangladesh Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Limited, Shaikh Akij Uddin Ltd, Uttara Motors Ltd, Uttara Automobiles Limited, Perfect Tobacco Ltd, Nestle Bangladesh Limited, Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Olympic Industries Limited.

Bangladesh Bank governor Fazle Kabir was the chief guest on the occasion. Abu Hena, senior secretary of the Department of Internal Resources and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue. Rahmatul Munim was present in it.
