FBCCI President Md. Jasim Uddin said that in order to survive in the international market, new environmentally friendly and sustainable products have to be brought to the market. He was speaking at the closing ceremony of a five-day training workshop on social compliance, occupational health and safety and gender organized by the Bangladesh Plastic Manufacturers and Exporters Association on Monday (September 6th).
FBCCI president said now still lacks trained manpower in Bangladesh. Today's workshop is very timely. In addition to the junior level, field level officers also need to be transformed into skilled manpower through training.
He said the plastic industry is currently considered as a large sector. This sector is creating employment for many people. The production of this sector is also gradually increasing as the use of plastic as an alternative to iron and wood is increasing.
