DSE’s chief regulatory officer joined

On Wednesday (September 1st) countries main capital market Dhaka Stock Exchange’s chief regulatory officer Md Shawkat Jahan Khan FCMA joined. Earlier, on July 19, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission approved his appointment

Expert and experienced in Financial Administration, Treasury, Risk Management, Information Management and Reconciliation, Budgeting, Business Planning, Investment, Stress Testing and Treasury Management, Tax, Balance Sheet, Company Law. , Rupali Bank Ltd. and the private Mercantile Bank Ltd. have worked as bank officers for over 22 years with distinction in various banks. Prior to joining DSE, he was the Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of the state-owned commercial bank Rupali Bank Limited.

He has also been a member of SMT (Senior Management Team), ALM Committee, Management Credit Committee, Risk Management Committee, Interest Relief Committee and ICAPAP Committee of Rupali Bank Limited.

He holds a Masters in Accounting from the National University and an ICMA degree from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountant Bangladesh. In his professional life he also participated in international seminars/workshops on banking and capital markets.
