50% paying installment customers will not defaulter of financial institution

The central bank has extended the period of special facilities given to customers to repay loans of financial institutions. Regular subscribers can stay till December 2021 by depositing at least 50 percent of the scheduled loan installment. No one will be identified as a defaulter.

On Wednesday (September 1), the Financial Institutions and Markets Department of Bangladesh Bank issued a notification titled ‘In the context of loan classification’. Recently, in the case of bank loans, the central bank has also given an opportunity to repay 25 percent of the loan installments.
