13 thousand crore remittances came in 25 days

In 25 days On August expatriates have sent of USD 155.05 crore (1.55 billion) on. In Bangladeshi currency ( Tk 85.20 per dollar) which is more than Tk 13 thousand 210 crore.

Central bank officials expect remittances to reach 1.9 billion dollars by the end of the month if the current trend continues.

Industry insiders say remittances from the informal sector to legal channels have increased due to the government’s cash incentives and coroner’s control of foreign travel. As a result, remittance inflows have been positive even in the Corona epidemic.
