Gold prices have risen in the domestic market due to rising prices in the international market and lower imports than demand. The price of all quality gold has increased by  Tk 1518 per fill. As a result, the price of good quality gold in the country’s market is rising to Tk 73 thousand 483.

Bajus president Enamul Haque Khan and general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala said in a statement on Sunday (August 22nd). The new price of gold will be effective from today.

According to Bajus, the price of gold has risen in the world market due to Corona. At the same time, due to the closure of flights on international routes, customs complexities at the import stage (material tax rebates) and various bureaucratic complications, gold dealers are not able to import gold bars. Gold prices have also risen in the domestic bullion and poddar markets due to lower supply against demand.

Therefore, according to the decision of the Bangladesh Jewelers Association, the price of gold and silver has been fixed in the market of Bangladesh from August 22.
