Good news has come to Bangladesh's garment exports amid the Corona epidemic. As a single country, Bangladesh has surpassed China and Vietnam in the growth of garment exports to the United States.
In the six months from January to June this year, Bangladesh's garment exports to the United States increased by about 27 percent over the same period last year. Financially, the amount is 313 crore dollars.
At the same time, Vietnam's garment exports to the United States increased by 20.45 percent and China's by 26.77 percent.
In other words, Bangladesh is ahead of China and Vietnam in terms of growth in garment exports at this time.
The data came from a report by the U.S. Department of Commerce's Office of Textiles and Apparel (Otexa). Otexa prepared their report on the statistics of garment imports from different countries.
Clothing owners have hailed the news as "good news" and said the country's domestic demand has improved as the situation in the United States has improved. That is why the export of Bangladeshi garments has increased.
Bangladesh's main competitors in garment exports are China and Vietnam.
