Expatriates in front of Malaysian embassy demanding to return work
The expatriates have demanded the return of those trapped in Corona to Malaysia after coming to Bangladesh on holiday. They want to go to work at any cost, subject to all the conditions of the government.
The expatriates made the call at a human chain organized in front of the Malaysian embassy on Road No. 6 in Baridhara on Tuesday (August 17th). Hundreds of expatriates gathered in front of the Malaysian embassy from 10 am and demanded to return to work.
Jasim Uddin, the convener of the affected expatriates, said, “Some of us come to Bangladesh in 2020 for one week, some for one month and some for three months.” But due to coronavirus, coming and going to Malaysia is stopped. So I can’t go back to work.
“We have been vaccinated,” he said. I will be in Home Quarantine, even working on all the conditions of the Government of Malaysia and Bangladesh. Even then we want to go back to work.
