bkash, the country's mobile phone-based money transfer (MFS) service provider, has suspended payments to 10 online merchants, including evaly and Alesha Mart. bkash said this in a notification published on their website on Saturday (July 18).
In order to protect customer interests, bKash's payment gateway service has been temporarily suspended for a few merchants. In addition to evaly, the merchants include Alesha Mart, Dhamaka Shopping, E-Orange, Sirajganj Shop, Aladdin's Lamp, Kyukum, Boom Boom, Adian Mart and Needs.
The notification further said that after the implementation of the payment system as per the regulatory policy, re-development payment service will be launched with these merchants.
Confirming the matter, Shamsuddin Haider Dalim, Head of Corporate Communications, bKash, said, "We are working hard to implement the regulatory payment policies for e-commerce." At this time, in the interest of customers, the development payment gateway for some merchants has been temporarily closed. The bKash payment gateway will be reopened once the payment system is in effect as per the regulator's policy.
