25 percent export income increased in Bhomra port

Despite the severe outbreak of epidemic corona, the export income of Bhomra land port of Satkhira has increased in the recently departed fiscal year 2020-21. In the last one year, 2 lakh 16 thousand 192 tons of various types of Bangladeshi goods have been exported to this port, the value of which is 1 thousand 845 crore 13 lakh taka; Which is at least 25 percent more than the 2019-20 fiscal year. Among the exported products are Rice Bran Oil, Honey, Clinic Cloth, Jute Yarn, Jute Jute, Garment Waste, Coconut Shala, Pran Juice, Litchi Drinks, Pran Chanachur and Chips.

In this regard, Dipankar Ghosh, proprietor of Messrs. Sundarbans Agency, an exporter of the port, said that the export of goods has increased in the outgoing 2020-21 financial year as compared to other years. His company has been regularly exporting various Bangladeshi products. These products include jute twine, rice bran oil and several other products of Pran Group.
