Industrial factories-banks will remain open
The government has announced a nationwide lockdown to prevent Covid-19 infection. The lockdown is starting from 6 am on Thursday. At the time, the government planned to shut down everything except emergency services. However, the factories will remain open and the banks will remain open subject to the conditions and demands of the ready-made garment industry owners.
In the meantime, Bangladesh Bank will issue necessary instructions to ensure banking services.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday (June 30) morning. It has asked government, semi-government, autonomous and non-government organizations to be shut down.
The government has decided to impose restrictions and prohibitions on the movement of public and vehicles and the closure of various government and non-government organizations.
The army will also be on the ground with the police-BGB to enforce the strict restrictions.
