Beach Hatchery share prices manipulation, 5 people fined Tk 1 crore

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has fined five people Tk 1 crore for manipulating the share price of Beach Hatchery Limited. The BSEC has recently issued four separate orders in this regard.

According to sources, BSEC has fined Fahmida Islam, director of Beach Hatchery, Tk 12 lakh, Meghna Shrimp Limited Tk 25 lakh and Syed Noor Ahmed Tk 5 lakh. BSEC has fined Saif Ullah Tk 10 lakh and Mofidul Haque Tk 50 lakh for fraud. However, Shariful Islam, the former managing director of the company, died and was released from the fine.
