Prices of rice has gone up by TK 3-4 per kg in Hili
The prices of all types of rice has gone up by Rs 3-4 per kg at Hili land port in Dinajpur. Millers claim that the price of rice is rising due to the rising market of paddy. However, the traders complained that the millers were increasing the price of rice by syndicating. Meanwhile, low-income people are in trouble due to rising prices. They demanded market monitoring from the concerned authorities to keep the prices down.
As seen in Hili Market, all the stores have adequate stocks of rice. Despite this, the price of rice has gone up in different ways during the week. Golden rice is being sold at Rs 45-46 per kg, up from Rs 42. Ratna variety of rice is being sold at Rs 46-47 per kg, up from Rs 44 per kg. Besides, Miniket variety of rice is being sold at Rs 56 per kg, up from Rs 52. Similarly, prices of other varieties of rice have also gone up.
