In the last 10 years, about 85 per cent of the Annual Development Program (ADP) has been implemented, said Planning Minister MA Mannan.
The minister presented the information in Parliament in response to a question from Nurunnabi Chowdhury, a Member of Parliament from Bhola-3 constituency during the question and answer session in Parliament on Wednesday (June 16).
According to the information given by the minister, in 10 years, a total of 11 lakh 98 thousand 181 crore taka has been spent against the ADP of 10 lakh 14 thousand 952 crore taka. The implementation rate as a percentage is 84.71 percent. However, this account contains information for 11 months of the current 2020-21 financial year (until May / 21). This rate will increase slightly if this month's ADP implementation is added.
The Planning Minister highlighted the implementation of ADP in the last 10 years. This shows that as a full-fledged fiscal year, ADP implementation was the lowest in the fiscal year 2019-20. In the last financial year, 80.39 percent of the ADP was implemented. In the first 11 months of the current 2020-21 financial year, ADP has been implemented at 58.36 percent. The government has already said that the implementation rate of ADP is low in the current and last financial year due to the impact of Kovid-19 and other countries in the world.
