Tk 4831 crore Raising from capital market in 6 years

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told the National Assembly that in the last six years, 68 companies have raised Tk 4,831 crore from the capital market through IPOs (initial public offerings).

The information was given by the finance minister in response to a question from Chittagong-11 MP M Abdul Latif on Monday (June 14).

Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury presided over the question and answer session.

Replying to another question, the Finance Minister said that from FY 2014-15 to FY 2020-21 (June 3, 2021), Rs 4,831 crore would be raised through IPO to 68 companies and Rs 7.5 crore to one company through Qualified Investor Offer. Approved.

He also said that five companies are currently awaiting approval for IPOs and four companies are awaiting approval for qualified investor offers.
