48 thousand teachers filed an appeal regarding the time scale
An appeal has been filed against the rejection of the rule issued by the Finance Ministry’s circular to return the time scale of 48,720 primary school teachers across the country.
On Monday (June 14), Barrister Mokshedul Islam filed the petition on behalf of 48,000 teachers in the concerned branch of the Appellate Division.
Earlier, on February 27, the High Court rejected a rule issued by the Finance Ministry to return the time scale of 48,720 primary school teachers. At the same time, the court directed the petitioners to file a case against the circular issued by the finance ministry in the administrative tribunal if they so wished.
Justice JBM Hasan and Justice. The High Court bench of Khairul Alam pronounced the verdict. Barrister Mokshedul Islam appeared for the writ petition. Deputy Attorney General Tushar Kanti Roy appeared for the state.
On January 13, the Appellate Division directed the High Court to dispose of the time scale writ cases of 48,000 nationalized primary school teachers within three weeks. The High Court bench headed by Justice JBM Hasan was asked to decide the case.
