The regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has exempted BBS Cables Limited, a listed engineering company, from all liabilities. The BSEC has taken this decision in the wake of the company's application for waiver of the fine.
According to company sources, there were some problems due to lack of clear idea about securities law soon after the listing. As a result, BSEC fined some people including the director of the company. The company later applied to BSEC for waiver of the fine. The BSEC resolved the matter after hearing the company. Now BBS Cable Limited is free from all kinds of complaints.
