Biman’s Saudi-bound flight resumed
Biman Bangladesh Airlines is launching flights to Saudi Arabia after being suspended for 9 consecutive days. A top Biman official confirmed the information to the media.
He said three flights would leave for Saudi Arabia on Saturday. A flight from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Dammam, Saudi Arabia left at 3:30 pm. The second flight to Jeddah will depart at 6:15 pm and the third flight to Riyadh will depart at 3:20 pm tonight.
Earlier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines had announced the launch of all Saudi-bound flights from May 29.
On May 23, Deputy General Manager (DGM-Public Relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Tahera Khandaker told the media that Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start operating flights from May 29 by ensuring hotel and quarantine package facilities in Saudi Arabia.
In the wake of that announcement, three flights to Saudi will leave Bangladesh today.
On May 20, the Saudi government imposed new restrictions on the entry of migrant workers from Bangladesh.
