Commerce Minister calls on Malaysia to invest in Bangladesh

Calling on Malaysia to invest in Bangladesh, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said Bangladesh is now an attractive place to invest. Many opportunities have been created for investment and trade in Bangladesh. Under the initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the work of establishing 100 special economic zones in different important places of Bangladesh is progressing fast. The work of many is now in the final stages.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a virtual discussion on ‘Bangladesh-Malaysia FTA: Challenges and Opportunities’ organized by the Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) on Wednesday (May 28th).

The Commerce Minister said many countries of the world have come forward to invest in this economic zone. Malaysia will benefit if it invests here. Investment policy in Bangladesh has been simplified. Attractive investment opportunities are being provided. Bangladesh is now an attractive place to invest.
