Millions of insurance agents lost their jobs
Hundreds of thousands of field-level insurance agents working in the insurance sector have been in trouble due to government restrictions on general holidays and travel for most of the past one year, with the aim of preventing the spread of the epidemic corona. These workers are facing extreme financial crisis due to lack of fixed salary allowance.
The Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA), an association of insurance company owners, has demanded incentives from the Prime Minister’s Special Fund for insurers to overcome the crisis. Corona has no tendency to insure among the common people at this time. These agents have become unemployed.
In this regard, BIA President Sheikh Kabir Hossain said, the disaster has come down all over the world due to coronavirus. Bangladesh is also going through a difficult time. The insurance sector is not out of this problem.
