Bangladesh is getting 2.1 million doses of coronavirus vaccine in the first week of May. Director General of the Department of Health Prof ABM Khurshid Alam told reporters at a meeting organized by the Department of Health on the occasion of World Malaria Day on Sunday (April 25).
The director general said Beximco Pharmaceuticals would bring a part of the 21 lakh ticker. Another part can be found from Kovax. Of this, Beximco is giving 2 million vaccines to Oxford-AstraZeneca in the first week of next month. In addition, one lakh vaccines produced by Pfizer will be available from Kovacs.
“Since we are getting the vaccine before it is over, there will be no crisis,” he said. And we will continue the activities of the first and second dose of mass vaccination.
Khurshid Alam said Chinese gifts are being vaccinated. The National Advisory Committee on Corona will decide on its implementation. With the introduction of new forms of corona in India, it has been proposed to cut off all communication with the country except for the transportation of emergency goods.
He added that three pharmaceuticals in the country have the capability to make corona vaccines. There is some harm in using all types of vaccines. In the case of corona, the damage may be as much as five to ten percent.
