Special flights тАНarrange for expatriate workers
Expatriate workers are in trouble as international flights have been shut down amid strict restrictions to prevent the spread of the epidemic. In this situation, the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment has taken initiative to arrange special flights for them.
This special flight is being arranged for four countries in the Middle East: Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Singapore.
According to ministry sources, a meeting was held on Wednesday to resolve the issue. The meeting, chaired by the Foreign Secretary, was attended by senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment and Secretaries of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Chairman of Civil Aviation, MD of Biman.
