Tk 75 thousand crore savings certificates sold in 8 months

Despite the corona epidemic, the selling amount of savings certificates is increasing. In the first eight months (July-February) of the current fiscal year 2020-21, savings certificates have been sold at Tk 75,103 crore. This (2019-20) is Tk 7,985.65 crore or 12 percent more than the sale of savings for the entire financial year.

In the last financial year, the amount of savings certificate sales was 67,127 crore 75 lakh taka. Earlier, in the 2018-19 financial year, savings certificates were sold for Tk 90,342.39 crore. Which sells the highest number of savings certificates in a month in the history of Bangladesh. Economists are also of the opinion that the sale of savings certificates in the current financial year may surpass all the records of the guests.
