World Bank provides Tk 2125 crore to creat employement

World Bank provides Bangladesh Tk 2125 crore to overcome corona situation and to creat employement. Bangladesh will have to repay this loan in 30 years with five years grace.

The World Bank’s Dhaka office said on Saturday. The loan was approved on Friday,. The loan will be provided under the Third Programmatic Jobs Development Policy Credit Scheme.

Mercy Tembon, the World Bank’s Country Director for Bangladesh and Bhutan, said Bangladesh’s economic growth has improved in recent times. Employment has not been created as such, especially in the productive sector.
