State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said that efficient technology and green energy will enhance the sustainable growth of industries in the long run. He said the use of environmentally friendly fuels in particular would put the garment industry ahead of the global competition.

He was speaking at a webinar organized by the Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) on Tuesday. Schrader Chairman (Additional Secretary) Mohammad Alauddin presided over the workshop titled 'Scaling Up Net Metered Rooftop Solar on Knitwear Industry'. BEPRC Chairman Zakia Sultana and BKMEA First Vice President Mohammad Hatem, among others, were present on the occasion.
