Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2021. The Prime Minister inaugurated the book fair on Thursday (March 18) at around 4 pm in a video conference.
Advising the new generation to get into the habit of reading books, the Prime Minister said, "Children need to be more inclined towards books. In our time children's books were read aloud. We still do that. I always keep a small library at home. The tendency towards books should be increased. You have to develop reading habits. The faster our speech statement reaches people, the earlier it reaches literature. History, language and culture are also known through literature. '
Sheikh Hasina said, "Now there is an opportunity to read on mobile devices as well. However, the joy of turning the pages of a book with a book in hand is different. The book application will not be deleted. Thanks to the publishers for that, they have suffered a lot even during the epidemic. '
He further said, "I am in the government and I am in the opposition. I go to the book fair for one day. I can't go now because of Corona. Because when I go there is the involvement of a thousand people. I'm not going to think about the infection of all of them. But my mind is there. '
