Import-export stopped in Hili

On the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birth centenary and National Children’s Day, import and export of goods between Bangladesh and India through Hili land port in Dinajpur has been stopped.

General secretary of Banglahili Customs C&F Agents Association Abdur Rahman Liton,  said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birthday and National Children’s Day were being celebrated in the country on Wednesday. The traders of the two countries decided to stop import and export activities as a public holiday was declared on the occasion.

He said all the activities of the port will resume from Thursday.
